I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. I previously held a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Institute for Science, Society, and Policy at the University of Ottawa (2019-20) and was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Environmental Governance Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy (2018-2019). I hold a doctorate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto (2019) and a Masters in Public Policy from Simon Fraser University (2010).

My research focuses on Canadian provincial energy and climate politics; risk perception, policy learning and policy change; and social acceptance of new technologies. My research has been published in Energy Research & Social Science, Environmental Politics, Global Environmental Politics, Review of Policy Research, The Extractive Industries and Society, West European Politics, Policy Sciences, Public Policy and Administration, Canadian Journal of Political Science, and Canadian Public Administration. Previously, I held leadership positions in the Canadian non-profit sector and have experience in a variety of policy areas including housing, poverty reduction, food security, and international development.
